Austin Darrell Vance, 80, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Austin was born on April 25, 1940 in White Oak, Kentucky to Vinson and Rhoda Vance. Austin was a member of NRA and the Ohio State Trap Shooting Association. He loved watching sports with the Buckeyes, Browns and Indians being at the top of his cheering list. Austin loved taking his motorcycle out for a nice long and relaxing ride to clear his head. He liked cars, playing cards, loved his dogs, and loved gardening and sharing his tomatoes that he grew with everyone.

He is survived by his siblings, Vonley Vance and Phyllis (Lloyd) Bennett; his sons, Todd, Tracy, and Tony Vance; many nieces and nephews; his dog, Jake; and his friends from his card playing group. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family may visit from 11:00 am-12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery at 12:30 pm conducted by Pastor Christopher Thomas. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to the Humane Society of Richland County.
