David “Ty” Rickey, age 51, passed away just after midnight on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at his home. He was born December 1, 1969, in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Fun and full of life, Ty enjoyed music of all kinds and relaxed by playing the guitar. He had a need for speed and enjoyed drag racing and motorcycles. Ty worked as a roofer for many years. He was an amateur photographer and avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. Most of all, he adored his children and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Ty is survived by two sons, Issic Rickey and Alex Rickey; his wife, Colleen McKee Rickey; brother, Clint (Michelle) Rickey; granddaughter, Leah Rickey; nephew, Xavier Rickey; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Rickey Cochran.
A private family service will be held at Mansfield Cemetery. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
