Mansfield: David J. Martin passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 from OhioHealth Mansfield. He was 75.
He was born April 27, 1945 in Mansfield to parents Nellie (Redmond) & John K. Martin Sr. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High with the class of 1963.
David worked as a Carpenter for over 30 years. In his spare time, he would be found out on the links. He loved to go golfing any time he could. His favorite course was Valley View Golf Course in Galion. He played up until his body would not allow him to do so anymore. He also enjoyed watching ID and the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his wife Danni Martin who he married June, 7 1980; daughter Lori Martin; granddaughters Lindsey & Megan; step-son Jason Rimmer; brother Larry Martin of Hawthorne, NV.
In addition to his parents Nellie and John Martin, David was preceded in death by son Jeffrey Martin; siblings Shirley, Marilyn, Dianne, Bud and Margie.
Although no public service will be held in David’s memory at this time, his family hopes you will remember him in your own special way.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in David’s memory to go to St. Judes (501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105) or Asia’s Hope (296 West Fourth Ave. Columbus, OH 43201). David helped to sponsor 2 children through Asia’s Hope which is an organization that works to bring orphaned children into a safe, loving, family environment.
