Dear Editor:

Kirsten Pscholka-Gartner will appear on the March 17 Democratic primary ballot as a candidate for Probate Court Judge. She is the only candidate with judicial experience. Currently, she is the Chief Magistrate in the Richland County Domestic Relations Court presiding over the majority of the child support docket and cases involving the most intimate and sensitive family matters.

She is accustomed to handling a large court docket and ensures that cases move through the court in a timely manner. I know her well enough to be certain that she is compassionate, fair, and thorough in her decisions from the bench.

Pscholka-Gartner is licensed to practice law in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the State of Ohio.

Previously, she was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office primarily serving as an appellate attorney handling hundreds of cases in the Fifth District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. In 2006, she argued and won a case in front of the Ohio Supreme Court.

Pscholka-Gartner has some excellent ideas like implementing electronic filing in the Probate Court to modernize and streamline court operations and improve access to the court by allowing individuals to file necessary paperwork from their home computer. Access to the courts is vital for a fair judicial system, and she will make that a priority as Probate Court Judge.

She has devoted her career to serving the citizens of Richland County. Outside of the law, she works to reunite lost pets with their owners and find loving homes for rescued animals.

The best candidate for Probate Court Judge is Kirsten Pscholka-Gartner. Please join me by voting on March 17 for Pscholka-Gartner for Probate Judge.
