MANSFIELD — A winter weather advisory remains in effect for all of north central Ohio today through 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland.

Counties in the advisory area include Richland, Ashland, Knox and Crawford counties.

Low pressure will continue to move northeast through the Ohio Valley today and cause a mixed bag of precipitation across a large portion of the area.

As the low pressure system moves east of the area, an Alberta Clipper storm system will move through central Ontario, Canada late tonight. An Arctic cold front associated with the Clipper will move southeast across the local area and usher in much colder air to the region, causing lake effect snow to develop.

Mixed precipitation occurring will including freezing rain. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected. Winds will gust as high as 35 mph.

.Plan on slippery road conditions and many area schools are again either delayed or even closed. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Today’s high temperature will top off near 30. The low tonight will be around 19.
