MANSFIELD — After the snow and ice, now here comes the bitter cold.

According to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland, an Arctic cold front will move southeast across the area late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, ushering in much colder air across the region.

The high Wednesday will only reach 23 before clearing skies and increasing west winds drop it to a low overnight of 8. Wind chill temperatures will be around zero Wednesday night.

The remainder of the week and weekend looks improved.

Thursday — Sunny with a high near 27 and an overnight low around 17.

Friday — Partly sunny with a high near 37 and and an overnight low around 25 with increasing cloud cover.

Saturday (the first day of winter) — Mostly cloudy with a high near 39 and an overnight low around 26.

Sunday — Partly sunny with a high near 41 and an overnight around 27.
