MANSFIELD — Election Day is not until Nov. 5. But you begin early voting on Tuesday.
Absentee/early voting begins Tuesday, either by mail or in person at the Richland County Board of Elections, 1495 W. Longview Ave., Suite 101.
The closest entrance is in the back of the Longview Center by the “Vote Here” sign and flag. The deadline to register to vote is by the end of the day Monday.
If you enter through the front entrance, you must take the stairs or elevator down to the lower level. Those who have requested absentee ballots by mail will have their ballot mailed out starting Tuesday.
Absentee applications to vote by mail are available by downloading a form from the Richland County Board of Elections website at https://www.richlandcountyoh.us/index.php/voting-information/absentee-voting
Early in-person voting days and hours at the Richland County BOE are as follows:
Oct. 8- 11 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oct. 14 — closed for Columbus Day holiday
Oct. 15-18 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oct. 21-25 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oct. 28-Nov. 1 — 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Nov. 2 — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nov. 3 — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Nov. 4 — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The deadline to have an absentee ballot mailed to a voter is Nov. 2.
