BUTLER — This photo of the Bank Block in Butler comes from a postcard that was mailed in 1909.

Among the tidbits of news that Frank had to pass on to Mrs. Fadalia Daniels in Lodi, underneath the 1-cent stamp, was the fact that her sister Myrtle was married. We must deduce that Fadalia was not invited to the wedding.

You always have to wonder if people 100 years ago would have used historically significant pictures to write their thoughts on if they knew that a century later some stranger was going to be parsing their motives.
