GALION — Due to the extremely high temperatures, Mayor Tom O’Leary has announced the Heise Park swimming pool will be open free of charge today and Saturday.
Extended hours will also be offered. Today’s hours will be 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (The pool needs to close at the regular time due to a private rental.)
Please note the maximum capacity at the pool is 450 people.
The Splash Park, located at East Park, will also have extended hours. It will be open today from 1 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This facility is always free of charge.
