MANSFIELD — The Ohio Department of Transportation has released an extensive weekly construction schedule.

As a result, Richland County drivers are urged to use caution on these roads:

State Route 39 Update

State Route 39, just west of Mansfield Lucas Rd., is now open it was previously closed for a culvert replacement.

Mansfield Lucus Rd., at it’s intersection with SR 39, will remain CLOSED between SR 39 and the railroad tracks until next week.

The road is expected to reopen Friday, May 10, 2019; however, all work is weather dependent and is subject to change.

State Route 13

SR 13, from the City of Mansfield Corp. limits to the Huron County line, will have single lane closures for a smooth seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Please note that traffic on SR 13 will be increased due to the closure on SR 545, listed below. The detour route for SR 545 utilizes SR 13 as part of the detour route. Motorists may experience more congestions at the SR 13/SR 545 intersection. Please drive with caution in the area and through the work zone. The project is expected to be complete June 2019.

State Route 39/State Route 96

SR 39/SR 96, at Myers Ave. in the City of Shelby, is closed for waterline repair work. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 39/SR 96 to SR 61, south on SR 61 to SR 314, south on SR 314 to Old Lincoln Hwy, west on Old Lincoln Hwy to SR 598, north on SR 598 to SR 39/SR 96, and reverse for eastbound motorists. There is no estimated time as to when the road will reopen.

State Route 39

SR 39, just west of Mansfield Lucas Rd., is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 39 east to SR 430, east on SR 430 to SR 603, south on SR 603 to SR 39 , and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Friday, May 3, 2019.

SR 39, between SR 430 and the City of Mansfield Corp. limit, will have single lane closures for a smooth seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete June 2019.

State Route 39

SR 39, between Stiving Rd. and Springmill West Rd., will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction over the Norfolk Southern railroad. Crews will be completing structure work on the bridge. The project is expected to be complete June 2019.

State Route 97

SR 97, just south of Butler, Ohio, is closed for a bridge replacement. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 97 thru Butler to SR 95, north on SR 95 to SR 39, east on SR 39 to SR 97, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen May 31, 2019.

Interstate 71

I-71, between CR 32 (Mock Rd.) to the Ashland County line, will have daily/nightly lane closures northbound and southbound for a resurfacing project. Crews will be sealing concrete and completing minor structure repairs. The project is expected to be complete August 2019.

State Route 545

SR 545, between Adams Rd. and SR 603, is closed for a bridge repair. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 545 south to SR 96, west on SR 96 to SR 13, south on SR 13 to Longview Rd., east on Longview Rd. to SR 545, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

State Route 598

SR 598, from the Crawford County line to the Huron County line, will have single lane closures for a smooth seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete June 2019.

State Route 603

SR 603, between SR 39 and Franklin Church Rd., will have intermittent single lane closures as crews complete crack seal work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete May 2019.
