GALION — Galion electric customers can purchase LED light bulbs for a discounted price while supplies last, according to city officials.
Through the city’s participation in the Efficiency Smart program, bulbs are available for 99 cents each. There is a limit of eight bulbs per customer.
This discount is offered at the following locations Liberty Farm, Home & Garden, 222 S. Liberty St., and Quay Drugs, 2 Public Square.
Officials said one LED bulb can save up to $90 in electric costs over its lifetime. It uses 70 percent less energy than a traditional light bulb.
Several bulb types are available: Standard LEDs, dimmable LED candelabras, dimmable LED globes, and dimmable interior flood lights.
