GALION — A car allegedly stolen from Galion was recovered on Saturday night after Bucyrus Police responded to an assault call.
According to a Bucyrus Police report, officers were sent to a disturbance in the 400 block of West Mary Street at approximately 10:07 p.m. An assault in the 400 block of West Mary Street is still under investigation. A woman from Nevada, Ohio was taken into custody for investigation of the assault.
Police said another woman was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment of injuries. A male involved in the situation was served paperwork for an active warrant.
A vehicle at the scene had been reported stolen out of Galion and this was confirmed with the Galion Police Department. Officers recovered the stolen vehicle and it was towed from the scene.
Witness statements were obtained and the investigation continues.

4:22 p.m. Officers investigated a hang up 9-1-1 call from the 100 block of W. Oakwood Avenue.
4:42 p.m. A traffic citation for Driving Under Suspension was issued in the 400 block of W. Warren Street.
5:51 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Oakwood and Walnut Street.
5:59 p.m. A report of a possible domestic disturbance in the area of Norton Way was investigated.
6:45 p.m. A disturbance in the 200 block of W. Warren Street was investigated.
6:57 p.m. An employee of Kroger reported her vehicle hit in the parking lot while at work today.
7:18 p.m. A disturbance at Bucyrus Plaza was investigated and it was a verbal dispute.
8:34 p.m. A traffic citation was issued in the area of Maple and Songer Avenue.
8:46 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Woodlawn and Hopley Avenue.
8:49 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Spring and Charles Street.
8:54 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was issued in the area of Poplar and Charles Street.
9:08 p.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Walmart. The driver Steven Lewis, 28, was issued a citation for Driving Under Suspension and arrested on a warrant out of Seneca County. A passenger Mandy Drown, 37, was also arrested on a warrant out of Adult Parole Authority. They were both issued summons for Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held on the warrants.
10:13 p.m. Officers contacted a parent in the 500 block of S. Walnut Street who didn’t pick up his child after the skating rink closed tonight.
10:22 p.m. Officers assisted a State Trooper in the area of Spring and Liberty Street.
10:36 p.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of W. Perry St. and Jump St.
10:52 p.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 1600 block of Marion Rd. It was a false alarm.
11:01 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the parking lot of City Hall.
11:07 p.m. Officers responded to a non-injury accident in the 900 block of S. Sandusky Ave. A citation was issued to one motorist for failing to yield and the other vehicle involved was towed due to the damage.
11:15 p.m. A report of 3 suspicious males in the 800 block of S. Sandusky Ave. was investigated.
11:56 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the parking lot of Farmer’s Citizens Bank.

11:17 a.m. A false alarm was received from the 300 block of W Irving St.
1:34 p.m. A report of a dog being attacked by another dog in the 800 block of Dudley St was investigated.
1:45 p.m. Officers made a welfare check in the 400 block of Lawn Ave. The resident was transported to the hospital for assistance.
2:15 p.m. Officers assisted BFD in the 200 block of Hopley Ave. where a subject was stuck in an elevator. The subject was freed from the elevator.
3:47 p.m. A report of an erratic driver in the area of Whetstone and Mansfield Street was investigated.
4:25 p.m. Officers responded to a complaint of attempted shoplifting from HyMiler in the 600 block of S. Sandusky Ave. Caleb Bowersock, 23, was arrested on a Crawford County warrant. He was issued a date to appear in court and released.
5:02 p.m. Officers investigated an assault complaint and Hunter Kegley, 21, was arrested on a Wyandot County warrant. He was transported to Oceola and released to a Wyandot County deputy.
6:36 p.m. Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 200 block of W. Irving Street and assisted with an angry and aggressive patient.
7:01 p.m. A written traffic warning was issued in the area of Kaler and Southern Avenue.
8:01 p.m. A female was warned reference trespassing at the Dollar General.

10:38 p.m. An employee at Ehrhart’s reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill.
10:54 p.m. A resident in the 900 block of N. Sandusky Ave. reported hearing noises in her home. Officers assisted in checking the house, everything was found to be all right.
10:54 p.m. Jessica Harper, 36, was arrested in the 900 block of N. Sandusky Ave. on a felony warrant out of Crawford County. She was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.
11:38 p.m. A traffic citation was issued in the area of E. Mansfield St. and Walnut St.
Monday, April 15
12:04 a.m. Officers on patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the 1100 block of E. Mansfield St. It was found to be disabled vehicle and the owner was contacting someone to help him move it.
12:44 a.m. Officers on patrol checked on a male walking in the 800 block of Hopley Ave.
1:09 a.m. A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of E. Mansfield St. and Walnut St.
1:45 a.m. Officers on patrol checked on a vehicle parked at the Masonic Temple on S. Sandusky Ave.
