BUCYRUS – The Bucyrus High School XBand is one of 12 bands competing in the “Final Exam” of the 2019 Tri-C High School Rock Off at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland Saturday, Feb. 16.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the XBand takes the stage at approximately 6 p.m. The XBand will be competing for this year’s grand prize of more than $1,000 for the band and the Bucyrus Secondary School music program. The competition began Jan. 19 and four bands from each of the three preliminary rounds were selected to compete Saturday.

“This is a wonderful experience for our students to perform on a big stage and compete against other high-quality high school musicians,” Director of Bands Mark Fiske said. “No matter the outcome, these students have achieved at a very high level and I am incredibly proud of each one of them.”

A limited number of tickets for Saturday’s performance are available for $12 each and can be purchased online at www.rockhall.com/rockoff19 starting Tuesday, Feb. 12.
