MANSFIELD — Mansfield’s Family Video is looking for a co-tenant, according to Sam Stelp, president of Legacy Commercial Property.
The company, which functions as the real estate branch of Family Video’s parent company, Highland Ventures, has listed the property at 198 Park Ave. W., for lease or sale.
“The goal is to downsize our store’s footprint,” Stelp said. ““We don’t want to sell it, and we don’t want to close the video store. We’d prefer to stay open.”
Finding a “compatible co-tenant” would be the ideal situation, he explained.
Ideally, the tenant would be interested in half the space.
In other cities, he’s seen everything from dollar stores to dialysis centers.
But if someone is interested in buying the property, Stelp said, the offer would be considered, and Family Video would consider leasing back a portion of the space.

Family Video operates about 700 locations across the United States. Most are operated from properties owned by Highland Ventures or one of its brands, Stelp said.
