MANSFIELD — There will be a free Special Needs party at the Richland Carrousel in Downtown Mansfield on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
If you have ever been to the Downtown Mansfield area you have most likely gone for a ride on the Richland Carrousel. The magic of children laughing fills the air. You wait patiently in line for your turn to get on the magnificently carved animals; you must find the perfect one. Then the ride starts and you are whisked away to youthful days with no worries.
The Carrousel and STARTEK want to bring this joy to those who may not be able to keep up with the fast pace of the ride. Together they will be hosting a private Special Needs Party for about 75 children/Adults and their caretakers. The carrousel will be slowed down giving everyone time to see all the wonderfully carved animals available to choose from.
This will give them a chance to see the Carrousel as they have never seen it before. No rush of the line or fear of the unknown. STARTEK is providing the rides for all that attend and also supplying food and drinks; free of charge.

“I am so thankful that the Carrousel asked us to partner with them on this event,” said Mallie Webb, HR Coordinator. “Allowing these children the chance to ride in a safe setting where they can take the extra time to really see the animals was an amazing idea; one that STARTEK is happy to help with.”
STARTEK is a call center located in Mansfield and has been open since 2008. They handle inbound customer service calls for several fortune 500 companies, employing over 600 people in the community.
