MOUNT GILEAD — No serious injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon when whiteout conditions resulted in an accident that involved 16 vehicles and closed southbound I-71 in Morrow County.

A dispatcher with the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said there were two minor injuries in the accident that happened just before 3 p.m.

All three lanes of the interstate were re-opened at 5:42 p.m., the dispatcher said.

No citations have been issued and the accident remains under investigation, the dispatcher said.
