BUCYRUS – The Bucyrus Elementary School will host a blood drive in honor of long-time district supporter Steve Hoover from 4 to 8:30 p.m. in the Elementary School’s cafeteria Jan 14.
Hoover retired from GE Lighting after 40 years and has been active in the Bucyrus City School District. He has also served as a board member for charitable organizations in Bucyrus and Crawford County.
“Steve is receiving treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, which has included 11 blood and platelet transfusions,” Elementary School librarian Diane Kaple said. “Steve had been a faithful blood donor for much of his life prior to his diagnosis.”
