The Spartans broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 60-56 lead over the Eagles.
Through the early stages of the affair, Lakewood St Edward controlled the pace, taking a 38-36 lead into intermission.
The Spartans jumped in front of the Eagles 24-21 to begin the second quarter.
