BROWN TOWNSHIP — A man from the United Kingdom was killed on Thanksgiving morning after a two-vehicle crash about six miles south of Loudonville, according to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Nigel Kelsall, 63, of Biddulph Park, United Kingdom, drove a 2018 Nissan Versa left of center and struck a pickup truck at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday in Brown Township, according to a press release from the Patrol.
Kelsall was traveling north on Ohio 3 when the vehicle he was driving hit a southbound 2008 Ford Ranger. Heather Sage, 49, of Loudonville was driving the truck. She was flown to Ohio Health Grant Medical Center in Columbus and is listed in stable condition, according to the press release.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected in the incident. The Patrol reported both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, College Fire & EMS, the Ashland Post of the OSP and Med-Flight. The crash remains under investigation.
