Liberty Center found the tipping point, and leaned on it to knock off Genoa 43-40 for an Ohio high school football victory on Saturday night.
Both teams are 12-1, as Genoa suffered its first loss of the year.
The Tigers put a bow on this victory with a strong fourth-quarter kick, outpointing the Comets 15-6 in the last stanza.
Genoa took a 34-28 lead over Liberty Center but couldn’t hang on to it.
The Tigers drew first blood by forging a 21-20 margin over the Comets after the first quarter.
