Playing with a winning hand, Kettering Archbishop Alter trumped Wapakoneta 21-7 on Friday night in Division III Ohio boys high school football action.
The Knights jumped in front of the Redskins 7-0 to begin the second quarter and carried a 14-0 margin to the final period. Alter blunted the Redskins’s dreams of a rally by mirroring their fourth period point total.
The Knights are 12-1 heading to the Final Four. Wapakoneta ended a fine season at 11-2.
The OHSAA releases the state semifinal pairings and locations on Sunday.
