COLUMBUS — Doug Theaker, a board member at Pioneer Career & Technology Center and Mid-Ohio ESC will receive the Ohio School Boards Association’s Veteran Board Member Award at the association’s 63rd annual Capital Conference and Trade Show on Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
Both Pioneer Career and Technology Center and Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center expressed their pride in having Theaker’s expertise and dedication as a part of their Boards of Education honored at this level.
Both Superintendent Nickoli and Superintendent Keller state, “No one is more dedicated to education and our country than Mr. Theaker.”
The Veteran Board Member Award is given in recognition of Mr. Theaker’s 25 years of service to Pioneer and MOESC. Of the nearly 3,500 board members in Ohio, only 28 will receive the honor in 2018. In the Spring of 2019, Mr. Theaker will receive an award from the Ohio School Boards Association recognizing a combined 40 years of service to Pioneer, MOESC, and the Ontario Local Schools.
