Jack Cline Sr.

Jack Cline Sr., 83, passed this life on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a brief illness.

Mr. Cline was born on Monday, Aug. 26, 1935 to the late John Allen and Georgia (Bundy) Cline in Mansfield and was a lifelong resident. Jack graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1954 where he ran track.

After graduation Jack served with the U.S. Army. He was a former employee of CPC/GM Plant retiring in 1998 after 37 years of service. An avid bowler Jack bowled in the following leagues: Upsetters, Castouts, Senior Stars, and the traveling Fun City Rollers League for over 40 years.

Jack was a member of The New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Men’s Choir, and the American Legion Post 676.

Jack is survived by his wife Lula Bradford Cline; son: Jack Cline II, of Mansfield; eight grandchildren: Heather (Keswald) Peddie, of Los Angeles, California, Nathan (India) Feagin, Jack Cline III, Akeen Cline, of Mansfield, Lakishia (Gregory) Marbury, Monessa Bradford, Yaminah (Cameron) Matlock, Javor Gordon, of Columbus; 21 great-grandchildren; step daughter-in-law Leviett Bradford, of Columbus and special brother-in-law Kevin (Cassandra) Carter and family, of Mansfield.

In addition to his parents Jack was also preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie “Stevie” Cline-Feagin; step-son R. Keith Bradford, eight siblings, Bernice Cash, Catherine Clark, Donald Cline Sr, Oliver Cline Sr., Allen “Buddy” Cline, Georgia Dye, Barbara Davis and his twin Jacquelyn Wilkson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, at 11 a.m. in the Oasis of Love Church by his pastor Rev. Patricia Sullivan. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

The Richland County Veteran Burial Detail will conduct military honors at graveside.

The family will receive friends at their home daily from 4 to 8 p.m. until the day of service.
