Glenna R. Thompson, 76, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.
Glenna was born on Jan. 29, 1942 in Fort Gay, West Virginia to Jay and Irene (Newcomb) Lemaster.
Glenna was a devoted Christian woman who lived her whole life for the Lord. She was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. A devoted mother and loving grandmother, and Glenna was always there for her family. She was employed as an area manager for SBS.
A hard-working woman, straight forward and to the point. Glenna was a successful seamstress making many wedding dresses in her life. She was a talented baker, proving her skills with many delicious wedding cakes.
Glenna leaves behind her children, Cindy Atherton, Danny (Sharon) Thompson, Randy (Kathy) Thompson, Loretta Thompson, and David Thompson; grandchildren, Joshua Nolen, Rebecca (Tim) Shoup, Danny (Tina) Thompson, April Thompson, Jacob (Julie) Thompson, Sam (Chelsey) Thompson, Abrahm Thompson, and Michelle (Neil) Prichard who Glenna was like a mother to; eleven great-grandchildren, Audrey, Nathan, and Victoria Prichard, Jackson and Jenna Nolen, Lillian Shoup, Austin and Ava Thompson, Roen, Oren, and Nore Thompson; a sister, Sandy Ively; and many church friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ora Glen Thompson; brothers, Jim, Dennis and Randall Lemaster; and a granddaughter, Rachel Nolen.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. The funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1169 Mill Road with Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. She will be laid to rest at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
