SHELBY — An early-morning raid in Shelby led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of two guns and drugs, according to a press release from the METRICH Enforcement Unit.

Jacob Stewart and Marc Noblit, who both resided at 2724 Holtz Rd., were arrested and charged with various felonies, according to authorities. METRICH detectives say they seized approximately three ounces of suspected crystal methamphetamine, prescription medications, over $500 in U.S. currency, two handguns, numerous rounds of ammunition and a variety of assorted drug paraphernalia.

Both men are incarcerated at the Richland County Jail pending their appearance in court. Additional charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor for review.

The search was conducted at approximately 8:43 p.m., with assistance from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office served a drug related search warrant at 2724 Holtz Road Shelby, Ohio. The search warrant was the result of a short term investigation after several complaints of drug trafficking in the area.

“This investigation was the result of collaboration between the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit working together with the goal of removing drugs and weapons from the communities in Richland County,” Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki said.

He also thanked those in the community who called in the tips and complaints which assisted detectives in this investigation.
