It is with great sadness that the family of Ellen Ann Haro announces her passing at her home while surrounded by her family, after her second battle with cancer, on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the age of 66 years.
A native of Port Clinton, Ohio, Ellen was a dedicated wife, loving mother and doting grandmother. A lover of animals and known rescuer, she was also a skilled baker and enjoyed sharing her delicious creations. If you knew her, you had a favorite dessert or two that she loved to make. She will be greatly missed.
Ellen will forever be remembered by her husband of 44 years, Denny; her children, Teresa Haro (Tom) Miller and Shirley Haro; her granddaughter, Elena Haro; grand-dogs, Jackson and Hundo; brothers and sisters, Sharon Clauson, John (Winnie) Hensley, Bob (Betty) Hensley, Kathy Laurel, and Rose (Herb) Wilburn; numerous nieces, nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel Hensley and Shirley Braswell Thomson.
There will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Haro family.
