BUCYRUS — National Night Out 2018 is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7. Organizers of neighborhood parties can register their party and request a parade permit at the Bucyrus Police Department. Members of the Bucyrus Police Department, Bucyrus Fire Department, City Officials and others will visit registered parties throughout Bucyrus.

Many parties in the past have included games, crafts, music, dancing, street closures with block parties and other types of fun activities. The parties are scheduled various times between 4 and 9 p.m. and encourage neighborhood interaction and interaction with safety forces for crime prevention. Participants are asked to register their party with the Bucyrus Police Department by July 27.

7:49 a.m. Officers assisted Life Support in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.

9:07 a.m. A report of an accident in the 200 block of E Beal Ave was unfounded.

9:19 a.m. A disturbance in the 100 block of S Poplar St was investigated.

9:25 a.m. A domestic issue in the 400 block of E Charles St was investigated.

9:50 a.m. Officers picked up a counterfeit bill in the 300 block of N Sandusky Ave.

11:22 a.m. A subject spoke with an officer in the 1700 block of Whetstone St about seeking the return of some property.

11:29 a.m. Officers delivered a message for another agency in the 500 block of Park Ave.

12:01 p.m. A report of a stolen auto in the 100 block of N Walnut St was investigated. The vehicle was located in the area.

12:19 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out in the 100 block of N Walnut St.

12:48 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Aumiller Park was investigated. The vehicle was not located.

1:24 p.m. A report of a disturbance in the 1800 block of E Mansfield St. was investigated.

2:45 p.m. Officers assisted Life Support in the 100 block of E Mansfield St.

3:11 p.m. A report of a theft in the 1600 block of Marion Rd turned out to be a civil issue.

3:15 p.m. A domestic problem in the 300 block of W Warren St was investigated.

3:19 p.m. Officers took a report of an accident that occurred in the area of Sandusky and Plymouth Sts.

4:16 p.m. An officer picked up property that had been thrown in the trash in the 1700 block of E Mansfield St.

5:36 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject trespassing in the 1300 block of Monnett St. The subject was gone upon officer’s arrival.

6:21 p.m. A traffic citation was issued in the Tiffin and Hill St. area.

6:56 p.m. A report of a male and female arguing at Autozone was investigated.

7:14 p.m. Officers responded to an accident in the area of S. Sandusky Ave. and Charles St.

7:18 p.m. Officers responded to an accident in the 600 block of Woodlawn Ave.

7:59 p.m. James Charleston, 33, was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and released with a court date.

8:08 p.m. Officers mediated a dispute between neighbors at Indian Creek Apartments.

8:59 p.m. A report of a dog bite in the 700 block of N. Lane St. was investigated.

9:33 p.m. A report of a suspicious male in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St. was investigated. The male had left the area before officers arrived on scene.

11:41 p.m. Officers mediated a domestic issue in the 500 block of Failor St.

Thursday, July 12

12:45 a.m. A resident in the 700 block of Wilbur St. reported hearing pellet gun being fired in the area.
