GALION — Galion Police say Wednesday’s arrest of an Ashland County man led to the seizure of drugs at a South Riblet Street location.

According to a press release from the Galion Police Department, Scotty Patterson Jr., 30, was arrested on July 11 for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for a probation violation out of Ashland County. Police were assisted by the METRICH Drug Task Force and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers went to 130 S. Riblet St. to arrest Patterson. During the investigation, officers were able to obtain information that led to the issuance of a search warrant at the South Riblet Street address. During the search, officers seized suspected synthetic marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.

Patterson was transported to the Crawford County Jail on the drug charges and is awaiting extradition to Ashland County on the bench warrant.
