MANSFIELD — Whether you’ve lived in Richland County your whole life or moved here more recently, we want to know your opinions.

What do you like about the community you live in? And what do you wish you could change?

Maybe you like how one community has plenty of nearby restaurants and things to do. Maybe you like its school system or job opportunities. Maybe you don’t.

Earlier this year, we surveyed more than 500 students, some seniors in high school and others in only fourth or fifth grade. They shared their opinions then, and we want to hear yours now.

Submit your opinions below, and the Richland Source will include some of them in our Rising From Rust reporting.

How it works

At Richland Source, we strive to write stories that matter to the community. But in an effort to do our jobs even better, we want to hear from you.

That’s why we’ve launched Open Source, a platform that allows readers to ask questions and shape our stories in our two Solutions Journalism projects, Rising from Rust and Gray Matters

The process is simple: You ask a question. Readers vote to determine the top question. Then, our reporters investigate and share the answers.

On a rotating basis between our two Solutions Journalism projects, we’ll ask for topic-specific questions. But you’ll always be able to ask us anything related to either project through the form above or at richlandsource.com/open_source.
