MANSFIELD — Every month in the summer goes by too quickly.

They are my favorite months, as I get to tell people I throw concerts for a living, and those who come are just as excited to hear great, free music as they are to be drinking craft beer and eating Doc’s Deli sandwiches.

Friday, June 15, will be the second Richland Source Newsroom After Hours for the third volume. Our team is excited to host Folk Night with Brady Jacquin and Pale Criminal. Both are folk bands whose original music is a great mix of fun tunes and creative song writing. Doors will open for the event at 6:30 p.m.

Pale Criminal, who will start the event off, consist of three members of the Darsee Clan and two others.

“We’re pretty excited,” Conner Darsee, guitarist in the band said. “We’ve played smaller shows around town, but this is our first time playing at a venue with decent exposure.”

PC will play all originals during their hour-long set.

“We’ve been growing our set list for about a year-and-a-half now. It’s cool we can play a shorter set and showcase some of our better stuff, Darsee continued. “We’ll play some of our newest stuff and stuff people may have heard before, but it’s been polished.”

Following Pale Criminal, Brady Jacquin will perform with his band.

The alternative-folk musician will perform songs off of his new self-titled album and songs he has written since the album was recorded.

“I think it’s going to be sweet,” Jacquin said. “I’m pumped to play.”

It’s my favorite part of being a music reporter at Richland Source, and this is certainly an event you won’t want to miss.

The event will have beer provided by Martini’s on Main Street and food brought by Doc’s Deli.

The event wouldn’t be able to happen with out financial support from The ‘Field Market, Relax It’s Just Coffee, and Old Soul Vintage Apparel and Records.
