TAMPA, Fla. – A Jeromesville woman was killed and her one-year-old daughter was injured Wednesday after they were struck by a reportedly reckless driver in Florida.

Police in Tampa say Jessica Reisinger, 24, of Jeromesville, was crossing the street and pushing her 21-month-old daughter, Lillia Raubenolt, in a stroller when the crash occurred at 11:43 a.m. Wednesday.

The pair was struck by a 2018 black Ford Mustang driven by 18-year-old Cameron Herrin, who was driving northbound on Bayshore Boulevard near W. Knights Avenue, according to a news release.

Witnesses said the Mustang was traveling at a high speed and was racing another northbound vehicle. Tristan Herrin, 20, was a passenger in the Mustang.

The other vehicle engaged in the racing was a gold Nissan driven by 17-year-old John Barrineau.

Witnesses told police that at times the cars were side by side, and at other times they switched places and switched lanes.

Both victims were transported to Tampa General Hospital, where Reisinger was declared dead. Raubenolt sustained serious injuries. Cameron Herrin and Barrineau both face charges of street racing, vehicular homicide and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury. Tristan Herrin faces one count of racing.
