All of us at the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library wish to thank the community for taking part in the Library’s first Food for Fines program.

Last week, customers could bring in non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries and the Library would take $1 off fines for each item donated. The community raised over 100 boxes of items to be donated to food banks throughout our community.

The items go to the food bank closest to the Library location to where it was donated. Below is a complete list.

Mansfield: Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, VOA and, Harmony House.

Bellville: Bellville Neighborhood Outreach Center (BNOC).

Butler: Butler Adult Nutrition Center.

Crestview: Faith United Methodist Church (The Outlet).

Lexington: New Liberty Baptist Church.

Lucas: Lucas Area Ministerial Association (Community Center).

Madison: Ridgeway First Church of God

Ontario: Grace Episcopal Church

Plymouth: Plymouth/Shiloh Food Pantry in Shiloh.

Thank you for your continued support of your Library. We look forward to seeing you during our Summer Library Program, beginning June 4.
