COLUMBUS — Ashland resident Bill Stepp was honored on the Ohio Senate floor Friday morning for his recent induction into the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.
Stepp was recognized by Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina).
“Bill reflects the American Dream, and it’s a privilege to honor him on the Senate floor today,” Obhof said. “He turned an interest of his into a passion and a family business, and he used his skills and talent to help others along the way.”
Stepp, who is the Hall of Fame’s 49th member, earned his auctioneering license in 1990 from Medina’s Walton School of Auctioneering. He later became the broker and owner of Dillard & Associates Real Estate in Ashland. Stepp is a past president of the Ohio Auctioneer’s Association and has also taught at the Ohio Auction School.
