Merri Maxwell Miller, 73, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at her residence.
Merri loved to cook and was employed as a waitress for many years working at The Gourmet Room, Skyway East and Oak Park Tavern. She spent hours on her computer reaching out to friends made from various support groups especially those involving rescue animals.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends camping and boating at Eagle Point in Mifflin. Merri was a people person who was very giving of her time and was willing to help anyone in need. She especially looked out for her family including her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Christopher (Trista) Miller, of Mansfield; three daughters, Tina (Clint) Briggs, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Gina (Todd) Redman, of Galion, and Tiffany Miller, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Zach Miller, Madelyn Miller, Avery Miller, Taylor Briggs, Mason Briggs, Kylie Redman, Kelsey Redman, Reese Redman, Olivia Carrington, Jada Enlow and Jillian Enlow; and great grandson, Zayden Czernewski.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Garrison; her mom and step father, Bernice (Sawhill) and Fred Lohfink; her husband, Forrest Miller; a brother, Dick Garrison; and a sister, Carol Rueckert.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Bill Crank.
Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Human Society of Richland County.
