JEROMESVILLE – A Tallmadge man was injured and life-flighted from the scene after a one-vehicle crash on Friday near Jeromesville, according to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Ashland Post stated the incident took place at approximately 11:53 a.m. on U.S. 30 near Ohio 89 in Mohican Township.
Joseph R. Miller, 72, was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 westbound on US 30 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a traffic sign. The Patrol stated Miller continued and crossed over Ohio 89, striking a stone wall and his vehicle overturned onto its left side.
The Jeromesville Fire Department and Ashland Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated Miller from his vehicle.
Miller was transported to Akron City Hospital by Metro Life Flight. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT assisted on scene. Alcohol or drugs are not suspected and the crash remains under investigation.
