I play varsity baseball, basketball and football. As of (earlier this week) the news came out that our athletics director will not recommend our varsity basketball coach Rob Lisle and his assistant Zach Massa (for rehiring).
All of the returning varsity players and I are trying everything we can to get them back because of all they have done for us. So far no one has given us an answer, including the athletic director. The players and I are very frustrated and this will be the best and last way to get the answers as to why they are not wanted anymore.
I wrote a letter with the help of my teammates and they all signed it agreeing on what we had to say about the situation. It was given to our athletic director this (week). It’s enclosed below with the signatures of the returning players.

For three years now Coach Lisle and Coach Massa have not only turned our basketball program around but turned young, immature boys into men.
They have shown us and taught us what accountability is really about.
They have had our backs when times were at their toughest. These two coaches were perfect role models.
They’ve impacted all of our lives tremendously. We have built a great bond with them, one that cannot be broken, that won’t be broken.
They have rebuilt the program the right way.
If their contracts are not renewed, us starting players will not participate in the 2018-19 season.
