GALION – A body was found along Brandt Road in Galion Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office
The body of Steven M. VanBuren, 45, of Nevada, Ohio, was found by deputies when they responded to a call at 7:30 a.m. at 6364 Brandt Rd.
The Brandt Road resident contacted the Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle, unknown to the resident, parked in their driveway.
Upon arriving and searching the immediate area, deputies found a deceased male in a wooded area just north of the residence. Deputies identified the subject and discovered the unknown vehicle found at the residence was registered to the deceased man.
The Crawford County Coroner’s Office was sent to the scene.
The circumstances surrounding VanBuren’s death remains under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
I saw his spirit on Brant Road this past September. He looked like a solid person. I thought he was going to flag me down for a ride. I am very sincere about this. I would never mock a deceased person.
