MANSFIELD — Malabar Intermediate School was placed on a soft lockdown briefly Monday afternoon when a bomb threat was found scribbled on a stall in a girls’ restroom, according to school officials.

Staff, administration and law enforcement evaluated the level of threat and determined that it was not credible. The soft lockdown, during which students are instructed to remain in their rooms, was lifted and normal routines resumed shortly before dismissal for the day.

Superintendent Brian Garverick notified Malabar parents of the incident in a telephone Leader Alert message.
