ASHLAND — Four Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center (ACWHCC) students qualified for state-level competition in last month’s Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Mid-East Regional competition at Canton South High School.
Kendra Henderson, a Sports Science senior from Loudonville, placed second in Dental Terminology; Justin Phillips, Ashland, a senior in Sports Science, was the third place winner in Sports Medicine; Lena Watson, an Ashland High School junior in the Animal and Veterinary Science program, took first place in veterinary science; Travis Swazey, a junior in Sports Science from Mapleton High School, gathered a second place award in sports medicine.
These students will match skills with other winners from across the state in the state HOSA competition April 10 and 11 in Columbus.
