MANSFIELD — When looking for antique and vintage items, one may want to Shop the Find.
The unique finds and auction house, sandwiched between Kroger and Dollar Tree at 1458 Lexington Ave, has been busy since opening in early January.
“We are what we call an antique mini-mall,” owner Jeff Burgess said. “People rent the spaces, and we sell it for them.”
Burgess said while there are other locations in town where shoppers can find antique and vintage items, his store is the only retail and auction house. Shop the Find will host its next auction Feb. 22.
“We plan on having auctions each first Monday of the month,” Burgess said. “This is not just your typical auction. We will have reverse auctions — where we count down rather than go up — just to throw different things at people. We want it to be fun and entertaining.”
Burgess said customers are also welcome to come in and shop when there are no auctions scheduled.
The Feb. 22 auction will start with live entertainment at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 6 p.m.
