W. Larry Marsh, 79, of Ontario passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Hanover Health Care Center.

He was born on June 7, 1938 in Shelby and was the son of Charles L. and Effie (Etzwiler) Marsh.

Larry proudly served in the United States Army and retired from Cardinal Vending. He had a love for corvettes, owning 13 of his own, and was the past president of the Mansfield Corvette Club. Golf was his sport and he golfed all over the area, accomplishing three holes in one in his lifetime. Larry loved being outdoors as much as he could and enjoyed attending car shows.

He is survived by his children, John L. Marsh, Deborah L. Fitch, Jeffrey (Sally) Marsh, all of Decatur, IllinoisL, and Robyn (Terry) Rhoades, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla) Marsh, Christopher (Sara) Coen, both of Decatur, Illinois, Matthew (Theresa) Coen, of Chicago, Illinois and Elizabeth Fitch, of Decatur, Illinois; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Al, John, Bill and Ross; and sisters, Frances, Ruth, Betty and Mary.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:30 to 3 pm, Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Home, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date.
