CRESTLINE — St. Peter’s dynamic duo was brilliant yet again, leading the No. 1-ranked Spartans to a convincing win at Crestline on Friday night.

Seniors Jared Jakubick and Elijah Cobb combined for 48 points to fuel a 74-39 victory that clinched a share of the Mid-Buckeye Conference championship.

Jakubick posted a game-high 25 points and 6 rebounds, while Cobb collected 23 points and 7 assists. St. Peter’s improved to 18-0 overall, 8-0 in the MBC. Jakubick made 9 of 12 shots, including 3 treys. Cobb was 10 of 20 from the field and added 5 rebounds.

Coach Joe Jakubick’s team led throughout, opening a 19-4 first-quarter lead and taking a 36-16 advantage into the half. The Spartans were on top 54-27 after three periods.

Davon Triplett posted 15 points and 8 rebounds for the Bulldogs, while Ty Clark chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Crestline (6-11, 3-6) is back in action Friday at Mansfield Christian.

St. Peter’s hosts Canton Central Catholic tonight at the Franciscan Activity Center.
