Sometimes you do things and they work out great, and sometimes… well… not so much. Unfortunately, the latter has been the case with the Richland Source mobile app for some time now.
On or about Feb. 5, the app will be removed from both the Apple and Android stores and will no longer be part of the Richland Source portfolio.
We launched our app certain that multiple information systems would talk to each other and provide a great user experience. Though users were pleased at first, bugs began to emerge and we could never make the app work reliably.
The leading edge app we had hoped would redefine how mobile readers interacted with us became a liability with a disappointing interface. At about the same time, our home page at richlandsource.com was redesigned to be extremely mobile friendly and deliver a great user experience. Users generally loved the update and we did too.
If you’re an app user and you like having our news at your fingertips, the short video below shows how to quickly create a home page icon on your iOS phone or tablet that takes you right to our mobile site. Android devices operate in a similar fashion.
