MANSFIELD — Main Street Books is pleased to announce the dates for its third annual Monster Painting Art Show. The opening reception of this community project will be on Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. in Main Street Books’ Book Loft Gallery.
The concept is simple: get a cheap or free painting somewhere and add your own monster; the results are spectacular.
This is a great event to participate in and include the whole family, or at least bring the whole crew here to see the show. It will be up until late March.
Take the challenge and make your own monster painting this year.
- Step 1: Obtain a cheap or free painting from a thrift store, garage sale, etc.
- Step 2: Paint (or tape, or glue…) your own monster or monsters into the painting.
- Step 3: Bring the modified painting to the bookstore before closing on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
- Step 4: Come to the opening reception on Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m.
