Quality typically beats quantity. We learned that during a review of our e-mail newsletters at the end of 2017.
Bottom line, we were sending too many newsletters to readers, which was eroding the user experience. Users told us they would rather get one or two newsletters per day and breaking news as it happens.
As a result, we’ve updated our process to focus on quality and user experience. We have removed our weekly Business, Education, Life & Culture, and Sports newsletters, which had become redundant collections of older content.
Daily Headlines will continue to hit your inbox every morning. We will also (if you have subscribed to them) send out the Ashland Source newsletter (2x/week), the Crawford Source newsletter (1x/week), A Look at Local Events (1x/week), and Area Job Openings (1x/week). Breaking News Alerts will be sent as it is needed.
If you are already subscribing to newsletters, you don’t need to change a thing.
If you are reading this and want to register, there’s a quick form for Daily Headlines below. It’s simple and easy and doesn’t cost a dime.
Over 500 readers have signed up in the last 30 days, which tells us we’re doing something right. As always, thanks for reading Richland Source.
