SAVANNAH – There will be something for everyone at the Savannah Bicentennial Fundraiser Saturday.
As the village prepares to celebrate its 200th year this June, the bicentennial planning committee is inviting the community to take part in several fundraising activities at Savannah Town Hall.
The event is open to residents of Savannah as well as visitors, committee chair Melanie Fitch said.
The fundraiser begins with a chili cook off 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. To enter a crock, email savannahbicentennial2018@gmail.com with your name, phone number and the name and description of your chili. Mail your $5 entry fee to Arden Fitch, 1353 County Road 500, Greenwich, Ohio 44837.
Entries will be accepted until the day of the event. Chili must be delivered to the town hall by 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27.
Following the cook off, a Savannah’s Got Talent talent show will begin at 7 p.m. To sign up, call or email Arden Fitch at 419-962-4425 or savannahbicentennial2018@gmail.com with your name and act no later than Wednesday, Jan. 24.
A pie auction will be held simultaneously with the talent show, and the event will also include raffle prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
