ONTARIO – Whether you’re looking for a paper shredder, bicycle, an ornamental water fountain or miscellaneous chain saw parts, the City of Ontario has you covered.

In order to remove unneeded, obsolete, or unfit city property, the city has planned a public auction at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at the city service building, 3375 Milligan Road.

“It’s just old equipment that we haven’t used, and some of it’s been sitting there a long time,” said Mayor Randy Hutchinson.

According to an announcement on the city’s Facebook page, dozens of items will be sold “as is.”

Cash will be the only accepted form of payment. The items must be paid for in-full and removed from city property by 3:30 p.m. that day. Shipping or delivery, if necessary, is the responsibility of the purchaser.

“We just kept it stored and sold some stuff over the years on Gov Deals, but this way we can do it, and keep all money in house,” said Hutchinson, who will serve as the auctioneer.
