Stephen Sondheim’s and Mansfield native James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical.

Into the Woods, Jr. features the favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The large cast features over 20 principal players.

Younger cast members will be featured in a one-act curtain raiser of 1001 Arabian Nights.

King Shahryar kills a new wife every night, because he is afraid she will stop loving him. But his new bride Shahrazad has a clever plan to save herself. Her nightly stories — of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, and many other heroes and villains — are so engrossing that King Shahryar has to postpone her execution again and again.
