MANSFIELD — A Thursday night raid in Mansfield led to an arrest and seizure of drugs, according to the METRICH Enforcement Unit.

Detectives arrested and charged Wesley Walker with two counts of trafficking in drugs and two (2) counts of possession of drugs after a raid at 382 Henry St., in Mansfield.

“The METRICH Enforcement Unit continues to target those individuals selling drugs in the community and urges the community to continue reporting suspected drug activity,” METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki said. “The complaints received about 382 Henry St. assisted the detectives in this investigation.”

Walker was incarcerated at the Richland County Jail where he will await his appearance in court. Additional drug trafficking charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review, authorities stated.

The METRICH Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Mansfield Division of Police, the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the Mansfield Office of the FBI served a drug related search warrant at 382 Henry St. in Mansfield.

According to a METRICH press release, the search warrant was the result of an investigation after several complaints of suspected drug trafficking in the area. The search warrant was signed by the Judge Frank Ardis. During the search of the residence, METRICH detectives located suspected heroin and crack cocaine.
