MANSFIELD — The Richland County Emergency Management Agency has announced that a public shelter/warming center has been established at St. Luke’s Point of Grace Church, 2 Marion Ave. in Mansfield.
The shelter will be open throughout this extremely cold period of time starting Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. The church is located on the corner of Marion Avenue and Park Avenue West at the 5 way light.
The public is welcome but no pets and no firearms are permitted.
If the public observes anyone that needs assistance or shelter on the streets, this is an option that should be considered. Contact local authorities or call 211 for more information.
